Bug Description

On a Toshiba NB100 running Ubuntu Netbook Remix (Hardy, kernel 2.6.24-19-lpia), it's not possible to resume from the suspend mode (S3-Suspend to Ram). The computer seems to properly boot (but unable to check) but the screen stays "black".

Take a look at /etc/pm/config.d/20-modules, does it contain ehci_hcd and
uvcvideo?

Thanks for providing the information and the hardware details! Two more questions:
Does hibernate work on the system?
When resuming from suspend, does <ctrl-alt-F1> give you a virtual console?

Hi,

It properly recovers from hibernate and unfortunately I can't access the
virtual console (I have also tried to connect an external monitor but It
doesn't work.

addition: i ran a suspend/resume test (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting).
it failed at stage 1: after 20 sec suspend there was no resume. when i hit the power button, the screen was reactivated, but besides a very small green line on the first row of pixels on the top, black screen.

i would like to attach the testingreport, but dont know where to find it... ideas anyone?

I'm affected by this bug also I'm running UNR 9.10 (Karmic) GNOME 2.28.1 Kernel 2.6.31-19-generic

Is there a fix for this bug? You would think this function would be top priority for an OS designed for a Netbook.

Same problem on Toshiba NB550D with Ubuntu 10.10
May be the netbook resumes one time from suspend, but some programes work no longer. Often the netbook doesn't resume from the second suspend or the third suspend. Sometimes the system is suddenly frozen after resume.
I tried many things
http://planetlotus.org/profiles/dave-hay_82766
http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/uswsusp
http://old-en.opensuse.org/S2ram
But nothing solved the problem completly. Sleep / resume is still not running savely.

I wanted to send this report
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting
but I don't find where it is.
