Bug Description

If you grab-and-drag to scroll the application list, but the drag happened to start on an application icon, the application launches when you release the mouse button to finish the scroll. This makes it very easy to launch applications when you don't want to.

Steps:
1) find a launcher screen that has a scrollbar
2) mousedown on an application icon
3) drag to scroll the icons
4) release the mouse button

Expected results:
The icons finish scrolling, no application launches

Actual results:
The icons finish scrolling, and whichever icon you started the drag/scroll on also launches

mcg prompted me to add a few details:

This is with Virtualbox 3.1.8 on a Windows XP host. I tried to install the Guest Additions, but since mouse integration didn't work, I'm guessing that install failed.

It doesn't look like 3D is enabled, judging from the grayed-out Visual Effects tab, even though Virtualbox is configured for "3D acceleration" and the "regular" UNR is selected on GDM (not the UNR 2D option).

I'm not using Virtualbox anymore, so can't verify whether this bug still exists. 10.10 on a real Acer Aspire One D250 doesn't allow drag-and-scroll on the application launcher screens anyways.

As far as I'm concerned, this bug can be closed.
