Layout corrupted when localized

I installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10 on my EeePc 701 (800x480).

Firstly, I discovered that the partitionning tool freeze when used in French. So I did the installation in english. After installation, everithing was fine. Yeah! Thanks Ubuntu!

Then, i decided to change to French language, better for my spouse. And now, the launcher is buggy:
- initially, the layout used 3 column for icons, but in french, only two columns used
- icons leave their categories to overwrite icons of the following categories
- last icons are inaccessible

This seems really linked to localization as I create an other account, in english, and anything is fine.

ok a work around is to minimize police size from 10 to 9
but it is still an open bug

That's very strange, I use Netbook Remix everyday in French and no crash, no such issue (but bigger screen :)). There is one bug on overlapping icon that we tried to fix in lucid. I think your hardware will give you an absolute good testcase to see if it's fixed or not installing beta 1, can you please give it a shot?
