white screen at the ume-launcher

I generally open firefox with many tabs, rythmbox, terminal at my regular desktop usage. Sometimes when i click on the go-home-applet i see just a white rectangular instead of ume-launcher. When i check the top output i can see that ume-launcher is using at least the 90% of cpu. Killing it and restarting doesn't solve. It may be an issue related with package installation, because it happens sometimes during terminal apt usage. I am not sure how this bug happens but it happens. I will update the bug when i encounter new clues about it.

1. Window manager
2. If you are running a composited desktop
3. What graphics card you have, and the driver (+version)

I am using gnome, compiz is not enabled and the graphics card is VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller.

Hi, could you please test if this still happens if you launch the launcher like this:

CLUTTER_VBLANK=none ume-launcher

You can even edit the ume-launcher.desktop file in /etc/xdg/autostart and changed the Exec line to what's above (so it always launches the same way).

I had this same issue only when I had desktop effects turned on, after going into appearance settings and turning off desktop effects did it correct this issue.

Marking as invalid but want to mark as "can't fix". The desktop-effects issue is purely driver based, and the Intel drivers do not support it at this time.
