Bug Description

I'm trying tu use Netbeans 6.7.1 in karmic with openjdk and am unable to create a new project.
First I choose New Project -> Java -> Java application, give it a name in the and to the Look in inputbox I can't type anything which would be accepted and next and finished are always greyed out.
It either states that Filesystem of folder doesn't exist either that it already exists, so I can't place to project anywhere.

Same problem here. ubuntu 9.10 amd64, netbeans 6.7.1 I can open existing projects but cannot add new ones.

Sometimes I get an error message (red icon in the bottom right corner): "A java.lang.NoSuchMethodError exception has occurred." This comes up, when i click on IDE updates, which are offered by netbeans ide.
