Reinstallation of driver fails

When I upgraded from Ubuntu 7.0.4 to 7.10.
My Wireless network card broke after second boot
Although it was working in the first boot
whenever I Try the GUI to re-install the Wireless Windows Driver , I receive no errors, but it never work.
When I used command prompt ndiswrapper utility, I succeeded to have my wirelss card working again
I'm using Acer Laptop TravelMate 4070 , Intel Wireless card w29n51

sorry for being late
I use the following command "ndiswrapper -l"
and "ndiswrapper -r <driver_name>
ndiswrapper -i <driver_name> --> that is a re-install

the difference between the first boot and the second one that Wireless did
not work at all
and I was not able to scan wireless networks , although the ndis driver was
there and loaded

For more on this please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Maverick Meerkat. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu.
