Installed Xubuntu 14.04.3 LTS 64-bit version (the following should apply to 32-bit also). Installed ndisgtk and ndiswrapper-dkms packages via terminal ==> sudo apt-get install ndisgtk && sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper-dkms. Tried to start the utility "Windows Wireless Drivers". I get error message as described in this bug report. This is because the program 'gksu' is not being installed, as i found. So, I had to manually install it with "sudo apt-get install gksu". Now, I used Windows Wireless Drivers application, to successfully install my LinkSys AE1200 wireless USB dongle (Broadcom chipset). Couple of hours spent searching on the net would reveal this process in further detail.
