application seems to time out, stops responding

the application loads up fine, i pick my driver, a valid inf file. (which i know works because it worked before the update) i click install, the window stops responding, and now the window behind it(the actual application) grey's out, and i am forced to force close, it does not complete the task of loading my driver, and when i restart the application, it shows my driver being installed, but it is not working seing as the wifi adaptor is not recognized.
