Unable to do a bios update after doing ubuntu updates

Bug Description

There is a Bios update for the NB100. This can only be done on a machine without any updates.
If the updates are done from Canonical then the bios cannot be updated.

You have to do a complete recovery to factory settings, then do the bios update, then do the ubuntu remix updates.

It would appear that something in the updates stops the bios update program running, and you get an error.
TOSHIBA say that as this is ´open source,' they cannot be responsible, although they may look at it.

This has appeared in the forums below, but not resolved. The errors are listed there too.
