Bug Description

As the number of event/alert types in NAV increase, the current design of the status page makes it incredible cluttered.

The status page only supports a limited number of hard-coded event/alert types, and will output one table per alert type. Empty tables are output when there are no unresolved alerts of that type.

A redesigned status page should probably focus more on displaying unresolved alerts in a single table, with options for filtering and ordering (as opposed to todays "preferences" where one only selects which tables should be included on a user's customized page).

One suggestion is to have a search box like Google or Splunk to filter events. Something like that might even scale to cover what the device history page does today, allowing for status and device history to merge.

These related wishes have been reported by nav-ref:

  * New "acknowledge" action for individual alerts displayed in the status page will suppress future display of them in the status page
    * unless the user wants to specifically view acknowledged alerts.
  * New "force close" action for individual alerts displayed in the status page will close active alert states.
    * User must be warned that closing real alerts may cause them to just be re-raised.
