Bug Description
Current views in a Nautilus window are Icon View, List View, and Compact View. We need a 4th one: Desktop View. The idea is that each folder, when displayed in a Nautilus window could be a mini Desktop of its own and organized as the user likes. If for example, I open the Desktop folder, I could choose Desktop View and see a windowed version of the desktop. However, if I want to open a folder with all my tax information, I could have a windowed desktop view containing my tax files, launchers for my spreadsheet and tax applications, choose any background I want, etc. All the features and flexibility of the desktop would be available to me within the Nautilus window. The real power is organizing folders that contain projects of various kinds.
NOTE: Sorry , didn't know where to submit a feature request

what would be the difference between this Desktop View and an Icon View with "Arrange Items" : "Manually" (right click option) ?
