as stated in title, the coverflow should show the thumbnails nautilus-thumbnail-factory creates instead of a logo for the file-type.

there's a reason why it don't use default nautilus-thumbnail-factory.
nautilus-thumbnail-factory generate a thumb for a certain format (i don't remember the size exactly i think it's 192px) if you ask higher definition of a thumb it just scale the image which is very bad and resulting in a poor quality texture loading. Plus it puts an ugly frame arround the image. I use gnome-thumbnail and get 400+px thumbs, but it just works with images.

using nautilus-thumbnail-factory would require to heavily modify it.

Ok, what's so difficult on just putting the same thumbnail image into the Coverflow area? The same image which is stored for Nautilus for video previews...
