Image: 12.04 april 24th candidate.
Installing without a network connection active causes the backend to not start on boot. This means the frontend doesn't work. It's probably not a "huge" deal since most people will have network connections on their machines with this type of software, but it should be fixed at some point somehow.

this happens because the upstart job triggers on a non-lo network connection coming up.
