keyboard frozen after installation and update of mythbuntu

Mythbuntu 10.04 installed successfully on a Dell Inspiron 4150.
Downloaded and installed system updates. Think I chose option 8 for the LIRC question.
Keyboard does not respond on restarts.

We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The biggest one is that upstream believes this to be fixed in the latest version. Could you please verify if this issue still exists in the latest version?

Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer versions.

I no longer have good access to digital TV on the laptop concerned, so
I am not looking to re-install Mythbuntu, and am not looking to check
whether this bug exists in the latest version.
