Bug Description
When selecting "install Mythbuntu" from the initial screen after booting into install CD the install process proceeds to about 98% and just stops. You are dropped down to the live desktop. If the user hasn't watched the process closely everything appears to be fine. Rebooting the system the OS starts to load but hangs near the end. You'll see a terminal log in prompt and a flashing screen. The hard drive is continuously spinning. You will not be able to log into the system. I had this occur on two different systems:
Combined Frontend/Backend: AMD64 (64 bit install)
Frontend only: Zotac AU Ion (32 bit Intel Atom)
A good install can be had by selecting "try Mythbuntu live" from the initial screen then clicking on the "install Mythbuntu" icon from the desktop. No problems experienced using this second method.
After it fails can you please run this command (from the live CD):
apport-collect 474535
This will gather the appropriate logs and attach them to this bug.
