Bug Description

People who like to give MythBuntu a try often ask me how to install it besides their windows installation. Its simple enough but users new to linux are carefull not to make mistakes and lose threir windows installation. It would help if its explained how to install MythBuntu side by side with a windows installation.

I don't know that specific instructions just for this purpose are
necessary as much as a more detailed partitioning section.

In any case, patches welcome :)

Okay good to know. I'll add a few rules and a screenshot about it to the
manual when updating it with instructions about setting up DVB-S.

I think it will help people to give MythBuntu a try.

Any interest in getting both of those things into the documentation for the 9.10 release (maybe even with screen shots with 0.22 if needed)? My impression is that DVB support is much improved, both in MythTV as well as Linux in general, so now would be a good time. I don't have DVB, nor have the time.

It would be greatly appreciated!

hansolo669, yes, if you or anyone else could help to improve the Mythbuntu documentation, it would be greatly appreciated. You can do this by:

1. visiting http://www.mythbuntu.org/wiki
2. log in (easy via OpenID, for example, https://launchpad.net/~username
3. edit!

Don't be shy about doing this... it's a wiki, so if you make a mistake, it's easy to recover from. And don't hesitate to find other areas of the document (besides dual-boot) to edit.

Thank you!

We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The biggest one is that upstream has moved on to a new version and believes this to be fixed. Could you please verify if this issue still exists in the latest version?

Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer versions.
