OR
CMD: make_sandbox /opt/mysql-
ERROR:
error while creating grant tables
mysql_install_db: [ERROR] unknown variable 'tmpdir=
2014-11-25 16:35:39 [ERROR] Unrecognized options
NOTE:1. same 5.7.5 binary installation working fine for normal installation. i.e without sandbox
2. tried 5.6.* binary installation on sandbox working fine for all kind of setups.
As per mysql DOC.
"If you have set a custom TMPDIR environment variable when performing the installation, and the specified directory is not accessible, mysql_install_db may fail. If so, unset TMPDIR or set TMPDIR to point to the system temporary directory (usually /tmp)."
I checked on my ubuntu 14.04 , there is no custom TMPDIR environment variable set.
Please use the latest release of MySQL Sandbox, where this issue is already resolved.
