MMM Agent can't start

I've just installed mysql-mmm 2.2.1-1.el5 on CentOS 5.6 x86_64. I've tweaked the values in the default configs but made no major changes, and I attempted to start the service. Every time it fails with this error message. Nothing is logged in the mmm-agent log file.

[jg4461@rnw-dev-db2 ~]$ sudo /sbin/service mysql-mmm-agent status
mmm_agentd is stopped
[jg4461@rnw-dev-db2 ~]$ sudo /sbin/service mysql-mmm-agent start
Starting MMM Agent Daemon: Deep recursion on subroutine "MMM::Common::Config::read" at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/MMM/Common/Config.pm line 161, <> line 1.
                                                           [FAILED]

I do apologise. I had used Puppet to distribute the config files to my nodes, and I made a copy-paste error. Both mmm_common.conf and mmm_mon.conf contained the contents of mmm_mon.conf. No surprise it didn't start. I've now fixed that, and the daemon starts.

However, I still think the error message I was given isn't too helpful. Most other daemons will give a specific error and tell you which config file and which line number are causing the error.

This was an include recursion problem. mmm_common.conf included mmm_common.conf which included mmm_common.conf...
