Does not show up on the panel in Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf

I'm using Ubuntu 15.10 and My Weather Indicator starts but nothing is displayed on the top Unity panel. If I run it from a terminal, there's no output to indicate as to why it doesn't work:

$ ./my-weather-indicator
