Bug Description

If I remember right, sometime in the past my-weather-indicator widget(s) used to maintain the same position at the top-right corner of my display between changes of monitor, e.g. before and after I plugged an external (and larger) monitor.

Recently I've begun losing my widgets after switching back to the built-in display of my notebook because they were previously placed off the limits, e.g. "wp1-x": 1366 whereas it should be "wp1-x": 1047 now .

I wonder if it's possible to prevent this by using another methodology like the distance from the right edge instead of the left edge, etc.?

Linux Mint Rebeca. My widget does not fix in position. After system or session restart it resets wp1x-x to zero. It's very annoying because it reappears on the left top corner and I always have to drag it back to it's place. I have tried many times to modify the parameters in config files but no go. Any advices would be very handy. Thanks.

I'm sorry to inform you that nothing has changed here - after I plug in my external monitor the widget(s) kept sitting in the middle of the now wider screen.
So I went back to my launcher script, which I might share here as well (see attachment) although it's an elementary-level bash script that might need fine-tuning both for the preferred widget and for the particular pair external-internal monitors used.

Attached is a my-weather-indicator launcher script to automatically move widget(s) when switching between internal and external monitors.
