my-weather-indicator does not show as Unity Panel Applet

Bug Description

The desktop widget works just fine, but it does not show up at all as a Unity panel applet. I did select "Show in taskbar" (screenshot attached).

I have removed ~/.config/my-weather-indicator several times and re-ran the preferences but still no luck.
