Bug Description
See screenshot, I made my background a solid bright purple colour so you can see the gap. If full screen video is played it covers the gap perfectly, all non-fullscreen apps reveal the gap when full maximized.
The gap is not visible above windows, as in apps cover it with no issues when not maximised.

I can confirm this. It's not a gala bug though, but a mutter one.
