Unable to resize "snapped" window

I think that snapping of windows is pretty cool, but I have little problem with it. Maybe it's more feature request.

When I have some window snapped to the left or right, sometimes I want to expand width of that window. I need window wider than half-screen size. But now it's the problem, because window size is permanently locked until window is in "snap mode".

I think, snap should only resize window and place it to the right position. Locking of size is not necessary IMO.

I am able to resize snapped windows.

I'm not, the cursor just won't turn into the resizing arrow.

The area I was resizing from is the bottom right corner, but you're right, the side does not work.

Has to be changed in mutter.
