Short click not working when on top of the list

When I am on top of the list of dents, the short click is not working. The line quickly changes color, but the menu does not appear. if I scroll down (even just a few pixels), the menu correctly appears. I've made a video [0] of this so you can see it for yourselves.

This can be worked around if the list is longer than what can be displayed on the screen, but is a total blocker if the list is smaller (for example a short conversation with only 3 dents), because in this case you can not scroll down...

This happens for me as well, both at the top of a list and at the very bottom. Also reproducible is that, if I am at the bottom of a list and scroll back up to the top, short click works fine. However, if I then pull down on the list so that the yellow 'you're at the top of the list so you can't scroll any further' flash happens, short click is then not working when I try again.

Behaviour is exactly as the original poster specified, but hopefully the extra info might help.

@nigeldgreen's description of this issue is exactly the problem that I'm having.

I can get around this issue by switching orientation to landscape and back again, but it's still not desirable behaviour.
