Bug Description
The convergence commit (r998) also introduced excessive whitespace at the top of most views. This only appears to be an issue on the desktop, as it doesn't seem to happen on mobile. This bug occurs both when the app starts in wide mode and narrow mode.
Expected results: There is not excessive space at the top of the app
Actual results: There is excessive space at the top of the app
