Hi, thanks for taking the time to file this issue and for making Ubuntu better.

From your description, I'm not quite sure what is causing this. Could you provide the following log files:

/home/phablet/.cache/upstart/application-click-com.ubuntu.music_music_*.log
/home/phablet/.cache/upstart/media-hub.log

Also, could you provide the output of calling "system-image-cli -i" from the command line?

Thanks!

I can reproduce this bug on my BQ E4.5 trying to play any music.

Thanks for this great app, hope you can fix this soon :)

Users are reporting if they remove their ~/.config/com.ubuntu.music/ it resolves the issue. All that is in that location is the following:
[PlayerSettings]
repeat=true
shuffle=false

[StartupSettings]
firstRun=true
queueIndex=76
tabIndex=4

I have also found that some of the users have added/removed tracks from their device, so I wonder if some were in the queue and then queueIndex is higher than the number of 'valid' tracks in the queue (due to removals). Then for whatever reason this has broken and frozen the app.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks, that fixed my issue! If I can provide any other info to help identity the root cause let me know. Maybe I should have checked the file contents before deleting :/
