Bug Description

I have some tracks that I ripped from a CD that don't have any genre tag. These don't show at all in the Genres view. I suppose it makes some sense, but I think it would be more user friendly if these tracks were grouped under an 'unknown' category. Note that some tracks seem to end up with a genre tag which is set to 'unknown' so I'm not sure if these two sets should be grouped together. I'll leave that to be debated.

An example of such a track: http://paste.ubuntu.com/9266726/

Ensure that at least one track without a genre in its metadata is on your device before trying to reproduce this. Tracks ripped from a CD will probably fit the bill.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the Music app
2. Select the Genres view from the list of views in the top left corner
3. Check that the track appears somewhere in the albums available in the listed genres

Expected result:

The track can be found somewhere, even if it is under an 'Unknown' category

Actual result:

Tracks without a genre are not shown

Thanks for the bug report Brendan! This is done intentionally because the genre tag is actually blank (""). As such it gets sorted to the top of the list. If we could find a way to 1) properly sort the desired translatable string ("Unknown"?) within the list, and 2) still reliably use a blank string to populate the model data from mediascanner2--then I think it could be done inside the app. Otherwise, this *might* be something that could be populated from mediascanner2.

This is similar to a previous bug that was fixed for this [1], but we regressed when we moved to mediascanner2 because we didn't want the blank data at the top of the list
