Bug Description

I have installed Ubuntu Touch yesterday and was playing some music and had an incoming call. The music continued to play during the call and both myself and the caller was listening to the music. Should this app not be muted when incoming/outgoing calls are made.

I have a Galaxy Nexus.

Confirmed on image 95 on mako.

Accepting the call switches the music from the speaker to the handset earpiece. When hanging up, the music switches back to the speaker.

In addition I was listening to the music in my car via the headphone jack port. Both Music and incoming call was ported via the headphone jack and the music was relayed back to the caller.

Will the added "media-hub" fix this issue?

@Victor Thompson: yes, the Media Hub should be the central point at which the music playback should be automatically paused when a phone call comes in. There will be some work to make the two backends communicate in this scenario, but you are correct.

I still see this bug today, in image 249.

I was listening to music through a headset. Then I received a call, and the music switched to the built-in speaker while ringing. The music paused during the call, but when the call was over the music continued through the built-in speaker. Unplugging/replugging the headset got the music back to the headset.

Then I tried making a call. The music didn't pause at all, and continued through the call. On hanging up, the music moved to the built-in speaker.

It should pause during calls, while ringing, and perhaps while dialing. And it should play through the same device it was using before a call happened.

FWIW, this seems to be fixed in Utopic image 140.

This is paused by mediahub on incoming calls because the ringer triggers a new feed. However when making a call it transfers the audio from the Loudspeaker to the earspeaker.

Yes, there is still a missing piece to this though - the music playback needs to be paused and resumed. Right now, Pulse Audio should be corking all other audio stream types but the music will still be playing. So you won't hear the music anymore, but it's not paused.
