Bug Description

The ability needs to be enabled to manually add or customize Application Categories during package upload through the dashboard. There are more categories than what is already listed as default which are listed below:

Microsoft Services
Key-Value Storage
Application Servers
SAP
etc., etc., etc.

Jeffrey, would it be sufficient to add ability to manage categories from command line client, or do we need a UI for category management?

There is a very basic support for adding new categories in command line tool murano-manage. Here is an example usage:
$ murano-manage category-add Docker

Source code for this feature can be found at [1]. This functionality should appear in python-muranoclient soon.

While the command line is useful, my propose patch is to improve the operator experience in the dashboard.

On another note, the box which lists the categories needs to have a vertical scroll bar.

Hi, we do have this blueprint https://blueprints.launchpad.net/murano/+spec/enable-category-management almost implemented (you can check out code from review) and this functianality would be avalible

Jeffrey, is this bug is still valid? Does the following blueprint satisfy your needs?

And if you have any issues with UI, please create a separate bug for that.
