Bug Description
I tried installing Mugshot on Fedora 20, and when I go to save my user information, I see a warning: "Timeout reached, password was likely incorrect."
From a quick glance of the code, it looks like Mugshot is using Expect to spawn and run chfn in interactive mode, and is expecting chfn to prompt for the password immediately. On my install of Fedora 20, it doesn't prompt for the password until it's finished running in interactive mode.
I'm not sure if chfn is different on Ubuntu, but in the man page it looks like you can just specify everything on the command line, which would simplify things a bit.

That's really embarrassing that I missed the non-interactive mode. Yes, this will greatly simplify things. I'll add this next and include it into the next release.
