Bug Description

When mtr is running, it does not show the actual traceroute target. Usually this is the last hop, but if the last hop does not response you have no idea what target you are actually tracerouting.

IMO, on top of the output should be a line reporting the target (maybe as an option to not break scripts which parse the output). In case of a domain name, it should also report the resolved IP address, e.g:

                  My traceroute [v0.75]
example (0.0.0.0) Nov 7 16:00:32 2011
traceroute target: foobar.example.com (1.1.1.1)
...

Further more it would be cool, if there is an option which prints both, IP address and reverse lookup, of the intermediate hops.

The gtk version does show the target.

I agree that this would be a good extension of mtr.

I still think this is a good idea. Feel free to submit patches. At the moment its a "not today" kind of job for me.

The further it would be cool.... suggestion has been implemented. Next time when reporting a bug/wishlist item, it's convenient if you separate them into separate "tickets".
