Bug Description
The man page is not clear about the default behaviors. The two instances I've found are:
The man page and "mtr --help" specify that the HOSTNAME argument is mandatory. However, omitting it does not produce any error message. It appears that it defaults to the name of the host running mtr.
If no options are given, the behavior is not specified and it's not clear to me what it is intended to be. What I see is three lines output: one of 162 spaces, one empty, and one of 1781 spaces with no newline. mtr then appears to hang, i.e., do nothing until I ctrl-C it.
The version is "mtr 0.83" running on Fedora release 19.
