Getting node / group posts is not clear

Bug Description
When you join a group or node (terminology is not used consistently?) at first you just see 'Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens...'. For me this seemed to indicate that there were no posts in this group / node but then I found out that you had to click the refresh button.
While this may seem obvious from a developer's perspective, it's not from a user perspective. I'd recommend:
1. Get the Nth last posts automatically so the user is never presented with an empty page.
2. If that costs too much resources then either tell the user that there are no posts in this group OR change the (hilarious) message about chickens into a huge 'refresh posts button'.
