Hi I was the guy who rated the app in Android Market and suggested that the sound reflect the actual Morse sound, typically called "sidetone" by hams.
If there's anything I can do to help you define the settings/options which ham radio operators would consider "standard" please don't hesitate to ask. In general you might want to consider:
1. Add a setting to adjust the sidetone frequency: 400 Hz to 1,000 Hz is typical for most keyers/radios.
2. Add a setting to adjust the dash to dot ratio: standard is 3:1 (dash is 3x longer than dot) but can range from 2.5:1 up to 4:1 in most keyers.
