pdfTEX fails to output pdf file

When I press the pdfTEX buttom, the following error occurs:
!pdfTeX error: pdflatex.exe (file umvs): Font umvs at 864 not found
I just tried to run the “template.tex” to see the output and no any changes has been applied on the template file.

Well, the issue seems obvious from the error: you don't have the umvs font installed, which is required by the marvosym package I believe.

The font is used for the special symbols used in the resume (e.g., the little phone in front of your phone number). Either install it, or change the definition of those symbols. Below is the standard definition found in moderncv.cls:

Apparently there's a dependency bug in Ubuntu16.10/TeXLive2016: installing packages for modercv (texlive-latex-extra) does not install the needed fonts (they are in texlive-fonts-extra)
