Bug Description
The Option iCON 210 stick as provided by the german network provider o2 as "o2 surfstick" currently does not work with ModemManager, but it did work with NetworkManager 0.7. The USB ID of this stick (after mode switch) is 1e0e:9000. It rejects most commands before the PIN is set. This applies for example to "AT+GCAP", but this is not directly a problem, because "ATI" provides the "+GCAP" info even without PIN. But it also rejects "ATX4" and "AT&C1" which are in the standard init string. It seems that the novatel gsm plugin handles a device that works the same way, but it seems to be a bad idea just use the novatel driver, as the novatel specific command "AT$NWDMAT=1" is not supported.
The Stick works with the option driver if I remove the Vendor ID checking and remove X4 and &C1 from the gsm base handler in Modem Manager.
