<Environment: Jax10>

Summary:
Help applications are non-functional in the current release of Claws Mail

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Launch Claws Mail
2) Application drop down -> Help -> Manual
3) Application drop down -> Help -> Online User-contributed FAQ

Expected result:
2) Help application launches
3) Browser launches and loads web site with FAQ

Actual result:
Drop down closes, no action

This actually works correctly on Desktop versions of Claws Mail as well as on Maemo. The bug is probably in the unofficial, unsubmitted-upstream UME patch from Ubuntu.
Probably the person who wrote the patch should give a look at src/common/defs.h. Probably he should send his patch upstream, too...

The fix is to have midbrowser register/unregister x-www-browser during postinst/prerm just like epiphany-browser does. Debdiff coming.

Scratch the debdiff (it doesn't seem to include new control files?). Here are the two new files to be dropped into debian/. They are slightly-modified copies from epiphany-browser.

looks good to me. carl, consider to reduce priority from 85 to 50; then add the two files in debian directory on hardy/gaston branch. Thanks. Also test that midbrowser is a valid alternative for gnome-www-browser and x-www-browser after installing the package.

This is still an issue in ume only the "Icon Legend" and "about" work.
