This could work at early stage but seems fail later, and I was thinking it is because midbrowser's id is different from firefox's, but I am not sure, Carl, pls. check.

Chris,

The flashplugin-nonfree for the browser can only be installed via apt-get at the moment. When you build the image, this should get installed automatically.

Is this good enough for the first release?

The other option is for us to look into what Asac did with Addon management support in firefox.

Please let us know how critical this is.

Carl,
I would like to see the plugin installation process fixed for users can add flash, java, etc. That being said, I do not believe this is vital to ship. I think that the customization projects will be able to work around this issue without any change.

We should definitely explore a fix with Asac to see if it can be included, but it should not hold us back.

Mark this as fix-later since the user will not encounter this problem as long as they use the stock image provide by us. We will look into an Addon managment extension created by Alexander Sack from Ubuntu and incorperate this in future update.

Flash plug-in now installs, but after browser restart, it still cannot play flash movies. I looks like the browser is not aware of the plugin. Add-on installer correctly classifies it as installed, no YouTube still complains about old version of Flash. Potential Java issue?
