Bug Description

with the behringer bcd3000 midicontroler/audio interface in windows xp, mixx's sound output freezes after a random interval,

normaly after a few seconds but sometimes after a few miniutes.

entering the preferences and pressing "Apply" fixes the problem temporarily.

i have tried all the latency settings to no avail.

the same unit works perfectly with traktor and abelton live in windows xp, and with mixxx in linux.

Hey Ewan,

What Sound API are you using in Mixxx on Windows XP? Have you tried all the
available choices there?

Thanks,
RJ

using asio. unfortunately the others don't let me use all the channels on the audio interface.
i did try the directsound drivers but they exhibited all sorts of crackles and hicups, but nothing like the audio freezes i get with asio.

forgot to say i tried a different interface (mixvibes umix44) without any problems.

Have you tried all the different samplerates as well? Maybe the BCD3000 does not like the one you have chosen.

i tried, but it only works at 44100.

do you know of any way of testing a sound card to make sure it's doing
what it should be? is there perhaps some kind of tool for testing asio
drivers?

are there other cards whose asio drivers do this in mixxx?

Are you only using the BCD3000 or are you choosing another interface as well for a different output?
