[patch] add pitchbend buttons for RMX

Bug Description

Since mixxx cannot (yet) sync on the right beat, but only sync the bpm; the pitchbend is quite useful. Also the RMX has so many buttons, it has no designated pitchbend buttons. This patch lays these on the button "3" (slower) and "6" (faster). These buttons aren't used yet.

Hey Jens,

We actually have two Hercules RMX mappings -- one is the Basic and one is the Advanced version.

The differences are documented here: http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/hercules_dj_console_rmx

Since the RMX is in our "Mixxx Certified support" category, that means that we keep the Basic mapping true to the actual button labeling on the controller. This is so that a new user for Mixxx can plugin their controller and have it work immediately as the buttons are labelled without having to read a manual to learn all the tricks (e.g. that buttons 3 and 6 mean "slower" and "faster").

Could you make your pitchbend changes to the Advanced mapping instead?

Thanks,
RJ Ryan

It is not so easy to get the pitchbend up/down buttons into the RMX Advance xml file, as the keypad1-6 are already reserved with hotcue1-3 and looping (4-6). Since one hotcue is enough for me, I use keypads 2 and 4 for pitchbend up and down now.

see the patch. However, this breaks with the behaviour as it is on http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/hercules_dj_console_rmx
I think that 3 hotcues are not necessary, but maybe this should still only be introduced, if there are more changes coming which would justify a change in midi behaviour of the Advanced setting?! I do not know...

Hi Jens,

I don't understand why you would need pitch buttons when you have pitch sliders for permanent and the jog wheels for temporary pitch change. Is it because you are more comfortable with buttons?

Due to lack of progress, marking Triaged and clearing assignee. Feel free to revert if it is in fact still in progress :).

Marking as Won't Fix as per comment #4, this is redundant with the jog wheel.
