Bug Description

Details of how I installed the drivers and patches:
http://www.mixxx.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2256&p=8726#p8725

ubuntu 10.10 uname - 2.6.35-25-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 21 17:40:48 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux
mixxx 1.9
Hercules MP3 e2 (color is black)

When i change controls in mixxx they change on hercules - LEDs are working.
But when I change something on the contoller nothing happens in mix.

in preferences ->midi controlers->hercu.... the relevant mapping is loaded and the input tables are full and look ok but the output tables look empty. All rows are the same:
blank - blank - 0 - 1 - Note On - 0x00 - 1 - 0

if I enable the controller 'midi through port 0' mixxx crashes, whether or not hercules controller is enabled

I have tried the midi learning wizard but it doesn't seem to recoginize any of the movements I make from the controller.

The program 'Hercules DJ Control Panel' says please insert your device.

I'm right in the middle of a move and I leave the hercules mp3 e2 at the old house. I'll get it dropped off to me next week. Sorry about that.

The Same problem occurs on windows too, and it would be cool if it would be fixed soon.

Hi

I got my hands on a brand new Hercules Controller MP3 e2, installed it and tested it on VDJ, it works fine on win7 64

I then try on mixxx and the controller does not work properly (or at all for that matter)
the controller is listed in the midi devices, I loaded the xml preset for it, and the only thing that happens is :

when I click play on the GUI, the "CUE" button lights up (deck A or deck B respectively)

here is the midi/debug log for 1.11.0 r3303 64bit
http://pastebin.com/CZDe9usR

here is the debug log for 1.10.1 32 bits
http://pastebin.com/7Xfzz3kc

Hercules information on the control panel:
Package 3.HDJS.2012
Firmware 1.0.1.9
drivers 5.6.8.0
DJ API 2.0.24.13
CPL 2.0.10.12

on an additional notes : it does not work on traktor demo either

after looking around, apparently the controller is not a real midi device, and even with the drivers, there is something strange making it unable to send MIDI data (any software I used for midi testing don't see anything coming from this controller)

In the windows device manager it isn't classified as a MIDI Devices either, but it has it's own root section.
