Dragging songs to Auto DJ fails

Bug Description

Please! Enable dragging songs from the library or rhythmbox library. Currently this only works from a music file folder on my 10.04 ubuntu system. I don't know if this was intentional or not, but it would be great if I didn't have to go to the folder every time to use auto dj (especially when using mixxx in non-gig settings).

Strange.. it seems that only some of the time it fails to allow dragging from the library.. I will commit further testing.

Sorry for the spam, I have come to the conclusion that it is likely the result of very high CPU usage and delay associated with having a huge library (maybe 150 gigs of music). I suppose I should have a separate folder for music that I would never play while DJing.

Hi Peter K.,

Out of curiosity, what version of Mixxx are you using? 1.8.0 beta2 or the latest repository version?

Thanks,
RJ

Ah my fault, I for some silly reason thought this launchpad was for beta only. I am indeed on 1.8.0 beta 2. I run Mixxx in Jack.

You're in the right place to report bugs for either :). If you actually are seeing issues dragging to AutoDJ then I'm not surprised. Our beta2 had some issues with drag-and-drop. Our latest 1.8 repository version should have all these problems fixed (hopefully).

RJ Ryan
