Mixxx 1.8 beta1 connects to google-analytics.com without asking

When loading the "Featured Artists" in the library, Mixxx connects to google-analytics.com.
/Resources/promo/1.8.0~beta1/index.html contains the ga.js webbug.

I understand the issue of user statistics, but Mixxx should not harvest data without asking. It should always be voluntary.

If i visit a website it`s common knowledge that they might be using tracking code and can use privacy tools but i do not expect a open-source desktop application doing so.

Jus: We hear your concerns, and I've immediately disabled Google Analytics in our online promo page. Although there is Analytics javascript code in the offline copy of our promo page that we bundled, Analytics does not work with local files. Regardless, we will be repackaging beta1 to completely remove Analytics from the offline version before we announce the release of beta1.

All Google Analytics tracking code has been disabled in both the offline and online versions of the promo tracks site in our current 1.8.0 beta1 packages.
