Mixxx (main) crashes when broadcast_profile xml is corrupt

Bug Description

When I close my preferences, Mixxx crashes (most times, but not always) with the attached message.

The reported file Connection 1.bcp.xml exists, but is empty (0 bytes).
I never used broadcasting.

See with a recent Main build on Windows 7.

Does it also crash when you run 2.3 with the same settings path?

I can also see the message box when I add an empty file there.
But it does not crash here on Ubuntu Bionic using Mixxx 2.3.

Please provide the mixxx.log file from a crashing run.
