Bug Description

Wen I sort by Type, I get this ordering:

- FastTracker2
- flac
- Impulse Tracker
- mp3
- Protracker
- Scream Tracker 3
- wav

My requests/suggestions are:

a) To capitalise "FLAC", "MP3", "WAV", etc.

b) Provide a Library option that separates the audio file type entries from the module-rendered-to-audio-file type entries.

I don't see how capitalizing will change the sorting.

A preferences option is IMHO overdone, but we may install a custom sorter, that fits your needs.

I would like to have the different module types grouped next to each other and the audio file types grouped next to each other in the library view.

- FLAC
- MP3
- WAV
- FastTracker2
- Impulse Tracker
- Protracker
- Scream Tracker 3

Usually in non-informal writing, MP3, FLAC, etc. are capitalised. Given users experience of this, capitalising them in Mixxx would being consistency, as well as consistency between the capitalisation of the module file format types.

Changed in mixxx:
status: New → Confirmed
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
