Bug Description

MIDI learn just crush whatever it crushes. And doesn't store any xml file. Here's the video.

The issue here is simply that the MIDI Learn window is hidden behind the Mixxx main window, that's also what the dialog says tat pops up when you attempt to close Mixxx.
I experienced this a few times with Mixxx in fullscreen mode.

Press Alt+Tab to pull the MIDI Learn window to the foreground and hit Apply there to store the MIDI mapping you just learned.

The underlying issue might be how your window manager handles window focus.
Please check ccsm or whatever wm you use in Ubuntu for settings like "Raise window when pointer is above window".
