Mixxx almost stalles on the first start

Bug Description
I think we should optimize Mixxx for a good first use experience.
Currently it starts for asking for the library folder.
One a folder is selected Mixxx starts discovering files.
And ask for setting the Audio Hardware preferences.
It takes almost a minute until the preferences window appears.
I think it yilds the file discovering.
This throws a bad light on Mixxx at all.
Maybe a solution is to swap bot dialogs ...

with current master 2.3-alpha, I'm not asked for a sound device but HDMI gets selected automatically.
So I can immediately select my music folder.
The issue I experience is that the interaction with the Mixxx main window is blocked until library scan is either finished or canceled.
Apart from running the scanner in the background (with an indicator somewhere in the libary GUI) and populating the tracks table dynamically, it would already be an improvement if new users could at least adjust the preferences while the the scanner is running.
