2.2 as well? I suspect it's caused by the move to SVG?

The screenshot shows the old icon with
9 scale lines. The recent 2.2 version has only 7. Did you install the latest version?
Can it be a cached icon you see?
How can I narrow the issue. Any ideas?
I have not managed to even show an alternative icon like Firefox by changing the desktop file.
What is the receipt to change an app icon.
It should be possible since some dittos uses icon themes.
It shows the old SVG icon from the 0.2.beta.20181009gitb488246.fc29 build, installed into /usr/share/pixmaps. The updated icon will be included in the RC build. OS has been reinstalled recently, nothing cached.
I finally got it.
I had a mixxx.desktop file at
~/.local/share/applications
which points to the icon mixxx-icon instead of mixxx_icon (with underscore)
I have no clue how the file has go there. It is from 2015-06-27
I have found the same file on my other system as well.
