QT5: changing skins the old skin remains in background

If I change from LateNight to Shade, I see the small Shade skin top-left, fully working, but the old Latnight skin fills the rest of the original windows size.
After resizing the window, the issue is gone.

I watch this, too, but only if a) the window is maximized or if Mixxx is in full-screen mode.
In default (minimal) window mode the UI is fine and correctly sized after changing & reloading skins.

FWIW I have not been able to reproduce this. I am using GNOME with Wayland on Fedora 28.

Maybe this only happened with old Qt versions? I am using 5.11.1 now. I didn't notice this with 5.10 either.

Just reporting that here, with Windows 10, mixxx 2.2 built from sources this weekend it is working as expected either fullscreen or windowed.
When windowed, Mixxx is resized to shade's smaller size. When it is fullscreen, the skin resizing takes place and occupies all the screen space.

What I do observe is that, if it is maximized, when I change the skin it resizes the window too while keeping the "maximized" state. (I notice this because when clicking on maximize it again, it is not maximized and is moved to another place and I have to click it again to maximize)

It might be this what is not working.

In other words: In my case it (the OS?) is ignoring the maximized state and resizes the window. Maybe what happens in your case is that the OS keeps it maximized (no resizing) but Mixxx renders as if it was resized.

It happens on Ubuntu Bionic and Xenial 64 bit using the Cinnamon Desktop.
