Bug Description

The Effect knobs are shifted up, off the background when the effect above is empty.

Using Qt4 or Qt5? If Qt4, what scale factor?

I can reproduce it with qt4.
easy to fix with a placeholder that keeps effect row's height if no effect is loaded

or just fixed height for every horizontal effect slot
